  1.                            QUICK SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
  2. ══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════

  4. To quickly get the menu system up and running, do the following (check the
  5. documentation later for specifics):
  6.  
  7. o    Copy DOSmenu files to a permanent home directory (we strongly recommend
  8.      the server's \LOGIN directory if operating on a network!).
  9.  
  10. o    Change to that home directory.
  11.  
  12. *    For the shareware version only, run DOSMNU.EXE to extract the files.
  13.  
  14. o    Run 'DMUTIL /M' to make the default menu files.
  15.  
  16. o    Run 'DMUTIL' to setup the DOSmenu system files.
  17.  
  18.           DOSMENU.INI - init menu environment file
  19.           DOSMENU.MNU - default menu file
  20.           DOSMENU.NTE - note file for user/group notices
  21.  
  22. o    Run 'DMUTIL /C DOSMENU.INI' to compile the init file -optional.
  23.  
  24. o    Run 'DMUTIL /C DOSMENU.MNU' to compile the menu file -optional.
  25.  
  26. o    Run 'MENU' to start the menu system.
  27.  
  28. o    Press F1 to see the in-menu options.
  29.  
  30. o    Press F9 to further tailor your menu system.
